Cougar Reading- This week we will participate in word play as we learn about homophones and homonyms in class. Don't be surprised if you hear your second grader cracking jokes about the bare bear:)
Reading- This week we will focus on the areas of speaking and listening as we discuss, debate and problem-solve how to care for endangered animals, conserve water on our planet, reduce air pollution and recycle. You will be impressed the knowledge your second grader acquires as we prepare to celebrate Earth Day on Monday, April 22nd.
Spelling- Next week we will study past tense verbs and learn spelling rules for adding -ed to given words.
Science & Writing- Look out future scientests! This week we will learn about the scientific method as we define words and practice the steps by participating in some hands-on experiments, and journaling about our experiences.
